Friends and Flags ( 1999-2008)

A heartfelt thank you to all the teachers and students who participated in Friends and Flags for the past 10 years!

The project has come to a close but the memories remain!

What was Friends and Flags all about anyway?

Friends and Flags was an award winning global project that celebrated cultural diversity. Since 1999 Friends and Flags has connected thousands of teachers and students from over 65 countries in international clusters for a dynamic multicultural exchange. Participants interacted in a vibrant online community and exchange cultural packages sent via post to 2 international partners in their cluster. This blog site hosts some of our wonderful memories during this exchange.

Community Projects:

1. Friends and Flags Logo Contest: Partners from around the world submitted logos for the project. Winning logos received mouse pads, key chains and a t-shirt with their logo on the products. Logos were put on products in the Friends and Flags Store:

Friends and Flags project store was filled with products designed by Friends and Flags Partners. The store helped us raise money for the project. Here is a F&F teachers coffee cup!
